7 Reasons We Love Winter

Winter is just around the corner, and it’s a great opportunity for Monster Threads to pay tribute to a season that we literally love to hate.
We love it cause it’s a good excuse for fashion aficionados to wear their favourite vests, jumpers and hoodies. But we also hate it a bit, cause it’s not a tee-friendly season! Well, there’s is no perfection, not even in fashion…
In a nutshell, this is why we love late November, adore December, enjoy January and can’t wait for February:
- Let’s face it, for fashionistas winter apparel is the biggest challenge of all. Yes, coats, hoodies, scarves, shoals, gloves and sundry are necessary to protect us from the chilly British weather. But they also look nice on us! There are thousands of combinations that you can make with all these clothes. If you don’t agree, just check Keira Knightley. Doesn’t she look uber-cute?
- Yes, we know, it’s cold outside. Well, enjoy it! That’s why most people prefer to spend time at home in the winter. Or go to the movies. Let’s look at the bright side of life. It’s time for hugs!
- It’s also time for melancholy, November Rain and strolls in the park with our bicycles.
- You know it’s winter when you hear Last Christmas on the radio. Or when you see snow out of your window. Or when you don’t have to go to school cause it’s snowing…
- Cold weather makes us a bit lazier than usual, which is not a bad thing after all. If you don’t believe us, check out these lovely owls!
- For some odd reason, British parks are more romantic than usual at this part of the year. No matter whether you are strolling around in Hyde Park or chilling out at Leazes Park, you can easily spot dozens of couples protecting each other from the cold with tender kisses.
- Last but not least, Dancing on Ice is back on track! ’Nuff said…
Well, that’s just us… Tell us what you love most about winter and which winter clothes you fancy most. Is it a hoodie that you have from high school? Or just a snug jumper?
