Our gift for Christmas: monstrous silliness

We love Christmas here at Monster Threads. But for all the wrong reasons…
Here are some of them:
- Along with Halloween, it’s the best time of the year for our little monsters. Crocopanda even writes to Santa Claus, asking for a cool gift for Christmas! The rest just exchange gifts and make noise. It’s a perfect opportunity for them to sing and dance and play, just like little kids do.
- It’s choir time! In any other part of the year, the sight of serious looking adults singing carols joyfully on the streets of Newcastle would make us wonder what the hell is going on. Not at Christmas though…
- Silliness is all the rage, especially when it comes to presents. A gift for Christmas does not have to be a valuable object. A silly girly tee or a funky mousemat for your lovely sister will do.
- Fashionistas have one reason more to love Christmas, with all these jewels and bags available at reasonable prices.
- Mince pie, pudding, turkey, and, and, and…Who said that British food isn’t great?
- TV specials and classics make our heart beat. Doctor Who, Top of the Pops and Only Fools and Horses on the same day! And of course the Queen’s speech.
- Mums have their own love and hate relationship with Christmas. They are busy with cooking and Christmas tree decorating and the rest. But on the other hand that’s the only day in the year their kids behave. Maybe that’s their own gift for Christmas…
Well, ok, some of us hate this day more than Cheryl Cole hates Simon Cowell. It’s a bit mawkish, it makes us feel older and sometimes it can be stressing too. After all, it’s not that easy to pick a gift for Christmas for your partner or your best friend. But that’s the point – we enjoy it cause it’s painful…

I was curious if you ever considered changing the layout of your site? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having 1 or 2 images. Maybe you could space it out better?
